A pool of investors enters the capital of Comptoir Rhodanien to support its strategic development plan.
The Comptoir Rhodanien group, based in Tain l’Hermitage, specializing in fruit distribution with national and European supermarkets, has just opened its capital to a pool of investors led by Siparex.
An operation that should allow Christophe Soulhiard, its leader since 1995, to retain a majority role in the management of the group and pursue its dynamic growth strategy.
Comptoir Rhodanien’s offer consisted of 7 main fruits: strawberries, cherries, apricots, peaches, chestnuts, nuts and apples. With its two distribution companies, Comptoir Rhodanien and Metral Fruits, the group, which also has three production farms, generates a turnover of € 53 million for 37,000 tons of fruit worked. It has grown continuously, relying on long-term relationships with more than 1,000 fruit producers in the Rhône Valley and heavy investments in automated packaging equipment.
